Muro das Nove Janelas, Azores

Stunning visit to Muro das Nove Janelas (Nine Windows Wall) which is part of an old stone aqueduct Aqueduto do Carvão (Coal Aqueduct) located close to Mata do Canário (Canary Forest). This aqueduct was built in the 17th-18th centuries in order to supply water from several lakes of the Sete Cidades area to the city of Ponta Delgada

Red Peak Mill, Azores

On day 8 of our Transatlantic cruise. We rented a car and happened to see this mill from a distance and it was well worth a visit. Entrance was free. We are told that actually makes flour every year in September for the local festival. Unfortunately it was closed to go up inside, but others have gone in the past.

Day 2 – Carnival Pride

our second day of the transatlantic crossing took us through the Bahamas islands. Waves are about 2m or 6 feet We went to Seaday Brunch, which is always amazing.
